1. Acrobanching or Tree climbing
If you love the great outdoors, then acrobranching at St Aulaye set on the river Dronne is certainly a must. First of all spend the morning tree climbing and then enjoy a picnic on the river beach. 2. Brantome and the Grotte de villars

3. Riberac Market and Lake Jemaye
Every Friday is Riberac market. Known as one of the largest markets in Aquitaine with a huge array of stalls. The food section has something for everyone and we recommend buying a lovely picnic to take to Lake Jemaye for the afternoon. The lake offers great fun with free canoes, cafes, safe swimming and a playground. We can provide you with a picnic pack containing sand castle essentials, sun shade, cooler box etc.

4. Zoo de la Palmyre
One of the largest zoos in Europe and such fun to hand feed Giraffes and elephants pop corn (take some bags). There is also a fantastic Sea lion and parrot spectacle. www.zoo-palmyre.fr

5. Le village de Bournat
This is a great place to visit 18th century village life and forgotten crafts. Perigord Noir aquarium is next door, making a perfect day out. www.parclebournat.fr
6. Canoeing or Paddle boarding

7. Monkey Valley
Walk amongst 30+ different species of monkeys at the amazing Monkey Valley. www.la-vallee-des-singes.fr
Another place to visit nearby is is Defiplanet, a unique theme park based around traveling and environmental impact. Have a go walking the tree canopy walk, go acrobranching, a fun pony rides or even try your hand at archery.
8. Futuroscope
Futuroscope is an amazing interactive theme park. The park is based on cinematography and audio-visual techniques. www.futuroscope.com
9. Oradour Sur Glane
Being left untouched since the massacre during WW2. The village of Oradour is an interesting but poignant place to visit. In order to learn more about Oradour’s history, book an audio tour or visit the museum. Also, drop into the gift shop on the way out and support in anyway you can. www.oradour.org Because a new town was built next door is a selection of restaurants, cafes and a bakery located nearby.

10. Trampolining
Bounce the day away on huge trampolines at the www.vertigo-park.com. If bouncing is not your thing, then maybe have a blast with the lasers. Because the indoor play centre is for all ages, it’s a perfect backup plan for a rainy day.
