Class\u00e9 parmi les plus beaux villages de France.<\/p>\n<p>L'abbaye b\u00e9n\u00e9dictine au bord de la rivi\u00e8re est superbe et vaut vraiment la visite. \nEn vous baladant, admirez le vieux pont de pierre, le d\u00e9versoir et le joli moulin maintenant transform\u00e9 en h\u00f4tel splendide avec restaurant \u00e9toil\u00e9. L'abbaye b\u00e9n\u00e9dictine au bord de la rivi\u00e8re est superbe et vaut vraiment la visite.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pswp__img\" src=\"https:\/\/www.northofthedordogne.com\/images\/stories\/brantome\/river-view-1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Construite par Charlemagne en 769, l\u2019abbaye est le point culminant historique de la ville avec sa partie troglodyte et la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre grotte du Jugement dernier. Ce sont les restes de l'abbaye d\u2019origine et pendant l'\u00e9t\u00e9 vous pouvez faire une visite nocturne de la section troglodytique, tr\u00e8s atmosph\u00e9rique.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.northofthedordogne.com\/images\/stories\/brantome\/brantome-1.jpg\" alt=\"Brantome abbey\" width=\"332\" height=\"221\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pswp__img\" src=\"https:\/\/www.northofthedordogne.com\/images\/stories\/brantome\/bridge.jpg\" width=\"331\" height=\"220\" \/><\/p>\n<p>C'est surtout la situation de Brant\u00f4me sur la Dronne, qui encercle une grande partie de la ville, et les pentes raides et bois\u00e9es qui entourent la ville, qui ajoutent \u00e0 son attrait. La rivi\u00e8re est calme et douce \u00e0 cet endroit, couverte de n\u00e9nuphars et abrit\u00e9e par des saules pleureurs.<br \/>\nIl est tr\u00e8s agr\u00e9able de se promener au bord de la rivi\u00e8re.
